Spent another Sunday outside in this gorgeous weather - mid November and Nick is in shorts! My husband, Paul and my son, Connor dug holes for the compost. The school is building a 3 bin system for me soon. But in the meantime, I need to bury what we already have. I will plant zucchini or cucumbers on top of this area in the spring. The nearby fence will be handy to hang the vines on.
The digging has produced some artifacts. Our school is in a converted grand old house and hunting estate. We have dug up loads of red brick which might mean the garden area used to be the barn for the estate. I need to find out more history on this property.
